This is a good solution if you don't have access to a nearby power outlet. The drawback is, every time you turn off the TV, you're shutting down the ROKU too- which means that the next time (and every time) you want to watch your ROKU, you have to go through the whole five minute startup routine. It got to be a little annoying so I went back to the wall outlet. I'll keep this device for travel/streaming ROKU on the laptop.
