I bought this portable ice maker after reviewing all available online. It was about the lowest price and they all looked the same. When I got it, I plugged it in and about 10 minutes later about 9 little ice cubes popped into the holding bin. Even on the "LARGE" setting, these cubes are tiny. It would take 4 or 5 cycles to fill a tumbler with ice. First problem, low volume, small cubes. Second Problem. The plastic lid on the storage compartment is just that. A plastic lid. NO INSULATION. There is nothing that refrigerates the ice storage compartment so, the cubes begin to melt immediately. This is not like your home refrigerator's freezer compartment that keeps what's inside it (including ice cubes) frozen. It's just a plastic box. I was hoping to have a constant supply of extra ice. Not with any of these machines. DON"T BUY!
