Decent, but some slight ergonomic flaws, DOES NOT LAST
I got this to replace my original 10+ year old Saitek X52(pre-madcatz, so it probably would never have died). More buttons, switches, etc is what got me to order this. The good: Lots of buttons, switches, hats. Feels generally comfortable to use. the stick movement feels very smooth. The multiple springs are a nice addition and changing them is easy enough where you could swap them out on a whim. Toggle Switches. Toggle Switches are awesome and feel so much better than plastic flaps or random nubs. The bad: downright awkward placement of certain buttons, especially on the throttle. This is aggravated by the fact that the "tension adjustment" dial seems to do absolutely nothing for anything. Switch positions are at their most accessible at full throttle, and can be trickier to get to at idle. Other things to consider: The stick and throttle have a large footprint, much larger than the X52s. That shouldn't be a deal breaker, but if you have a small desk, it could be an issue. Update: It would seem the throttle tension adjuster knob thingy is broken and was since delivery, so I'm exchanging it for another. Update #2: Second stick has a functioning tension knob, in that it is both NOT broken, AND actually adjusts the tension. Update #3: 5 months later and it's still functioning fine. Update 4: about 2 and a half years in it started getting ghost inputs. Mostly in the toggle switches and hats on the Throttle. The joystick has not had these issues yet. I've had it nearly 3 and a half years at this point and have resorted to unplugging it when not using it as the ghost inputs can affect other games
