Not what I expected ...
Having been a current user of the RainForest Eagle device I wanted to get rid of the requirement for wired etherNet and upgrade to the Eagle-200 to get the wireless connection capability to give me more flexibility. However, once I received the Eagle-200 it became obvious it is NOT an Eagle upgraded with wireless etherNet capability, but is a crippled Eagle with wireless.
The local web access portal is not supported on the Eagle-200, as it was on the Eagle. So this means the ONLY way to use the Eagle-200 is to register it thru the Rainforest cloud service. For me, as a California PG&E customer, the RainForest cloud service is basically a useless feature, as PG&E already provides hourly summary of your home power consumption for free thru their website. Yeah you can get realtime power thru the Eagle-200, so I give them 1/2 star for that capability.
Also not supported on the Eagle-200 is the Uploader API so that a local home computer can query the device directly and a lot of useful logged power status at 5min intervals. My local home automation system made use of this capability that is/was supported in the existing (now no longer sold) Eagle.
So if you want a crippled version of the Rainforest Eagle and are happy with only using the Rainforest Cloud site to view the data then the Eagle-200 is made for you. But if you are a home 'power user' it is a step backwards, and not recommended.
