I really wanted to like this printer. We had a Pixma inkjet and had a great experience with that, so we were happy to go with Canon for the upgrade when I needed it. Sadly, that's turned out to be a mistake. The hardware seems fine. The consumables are expensive, but you know that going in. The software is the killer. Everything just worked on the Pixma. NOTHING just works on the ImageCLASS. I can't plug in a USB cable and just print away when my glitchy Comcast connection goes down. I can't scan over the wireless network. And now it's demanding that I replace toner cartridges when they are 40% full, which just seems like a scheme to drive up Canon's cash flow. It's hard to believe these two products are made by the same company. Several hundred bucks are down the drain at this point, and I guess I'm stuck. But I certainly wouldn't buy this again if I had the chance to do it over.
