I couldn't be more upset about this. I was so excited to finally get a Kindle after years of waiting... and it lasted three weeks before it mysteriously died and cannot be charged again, either by USB or AC adapter. I got a grand total of something like three hours of reading time out of the thing before it just never turned on again, despite showing it had a full battery. It's not like I dropped the thing or harmed it in any way either; it doesn't have a scratch on it, it just... stopped working, out of the blue, and after I'd purchased a whole bunch of books on it. I suppose I can still read the books online or through the Kindle App, but the whole point of buying the thing was I distinctly wanted a device dedicated to reading. Oh, and of course, it's "outside the policy dates" to return the thing, so now I'm apparently just stuck with a dead Kindle, out all the money I forked over for the device and the books, and I have no idea how that book I was reading ends! :(
