Such a great product on many levels. There are a few major flaws though that may make someone reconsider spending ~$500 when there are other viable options at that price point. I use it just to make espresso shots. I’ve probably made about 500 2 shot espresso pours through it since I’ve gotten it. The good: - heats up quick - crema and espresso produced are good - looks cool on the counter - good color selection The bad. - it’s plastic construction mostly - it’s a hybrid of quality parts and cheap parts and you can kind of feel that while using it - the damn handle on the portafilter basket is a POS: specifically it became lose after 3 months of use. I opened it up to try and tighten it and it was revealed that the plastic portion of the handle had been torn off by a metal screw inside. Further investigating, it has a small weight inside the handle to give the illusion of it being sturdy / heavy duty / professional grade. It’s really just a hollow tube of plastic. At the price point, that’s a bit cheap and shouldn’t have broken so fast.
