My uses for a travel iron are duofold: ironing clothes and ironing hair. When I saw this diminutive article in person, I flinched. How can such a tiny little chap get the job done? Answer: splendidly. The small size turns out to be a big plus when packing my suitcase, the dial is easy to use and to read, the iron works well: heats up quickly, has a long cord, and a neat little bag of its own. If it goes on working- unlike my previous travel iron from Sunbeam, that conked out after less than a year- I will be well-pleased. Recommended! Update: It's now June of 2015, and after using this iron regularly for over a year, yesterday it erupted into flames in my hand! The cord, where it attaches to the iron within a sort of rubber casing, severed, and some pretty quick action was required to avert an all-out electric fire. Would have liked to contact seller but couldn't find a way so will shop for a new travel iron- just not this one. Beware! Update #2: Yes, stupidly I tempted fate and ordered this iron a second time. Same result!! If you are looking for a travel iron that lasts approximately a year, then bursts into flame in your hand, I cannot recommend this one highly enough!
