This was a nasty, expensive surprise. This camera is an "upgrade" to the Spotlight Cam Battery (which Amazon has suddenly discontinued), with an increased price. It was intended to be used like its predecessor--with the Ring solar panel I have on hand, and a Wasserstein after-market pole mounting kit. As I was finishing my installation, I realized it's an entirely different product from the Spotlight Cam Battery, with different intended uses. There's no place to attach a tripod or pole mount. Then I discovered there's no place to plug in a Ring Solar panel. There was no warning of these incompatibilities and changes of intended use when I ordered the camera. Anyone buying from Amazon's Ring product line should exercise extra caution. Additionally, the packaging has been modified to carry screws & parts in small cardboard boxes glued to structural cardboard in the box, instead of small plastic bags. It's impossible to open those little cardboard boxes without scattering screws etc all over your workspace. Anyone OPENING Amazon's new Ring products should exercise extra caution.
