This is the worst Korea book ever.
I might be willing to throw them a bone that maybe the author was assigned this topic and isn't aware of the controversy surrounding the name of the sea that lies between Korea and Japan....
But so many facts in this book are just plain wrong.
There are not lots of places to snowboard close to Seoul, unless you consider the entire country to be relatively close to Seoul.
The president of Korea in 1988 was not Kim Dae Jung, it was Roh Tae Woo and his administration championed Nordpolitik, not the Sunshine Policy.
There is absolutely no mention of hangul and when the illustrations show hangul it's obvious the illustrator was unfamiliar with it.
The largest city in Korea's southwest is Gwangju, not Gwangyu.
Korea was never ruled by China. It was what some would describe as a vassal state, but saying it was ruled by Chinese armies is incorrect.
Daegu is not a fashion hub that gets visitors from all over the world. All the fashionistas come to Seoul for Seoul Fashion Week.
The inaccuracies in this book make the entire series suspect.
