I feel like iRobot has scammed their customers with this product. This product was released on Prime Day on sale for $400 instead of the regular $600. This would make you think that you're getting a $600 quality Roomba, but that is not the case. The actual Roomba that's worth $600 is the i7, which has the Smart Mapping feature. This product, the 981, does not have Smart Mapping. (The description for the 981 is extremely misleading - this product does NOT map your house in any meaningful sense. It does not perform any kind of learning and you cannot control where it goes.) This product was clearly made in order to trick people on Prime Day, artificially boosting the sales of a product that would never be worth $600. There's no reason to buy a 981 when you could get an i7 instead.
