I bought two Westinghouse iGen 2500 generators because I though Westinghouse was a quality company. I have had both generator for almost three years when one had the recoil fail. Within the 3 year warranty. Used this maybe six time camping and the last time I went to use it the pull cord only went half way back in. Thought "Great it's still under warranty" Not so. Westinghouse feels the pull cord and the recoil mechanism are "wear parts" and wanted to sell me more parts and not cover the repair. I did not abuse the cord and the recoil mechanism inside failed. Now I need to tear the thing apart to try to figure out how to fix it. A warranty should be a warranty, and not pick and choose "wear" parts not to cover. Will not buy Westinghouse again!
