7/27/20 Second updated review. No one has returned my contact regarding the fire, even after uploading a video of the incident. At 1.5 years old, the bug zapper started a fire. A small flame appeared on the left side of the unit on top. We unplugged the device and the flame went out. We plugged it back in and recorded the following video. So, as two other reviewers mentioned, this product may be a fire hazard. I would not leave home or sleep with it switched on/plugged in. ===================================== Old review ============================= We live in an area where mosquitoes fly in every time we open the door to walk outside. I do not mind so bad getting bit, but I just hate the annoying kamikaze dive with the high pitched whirrrrr, especially when I am asleep. I HATE that! Therefore, it is eminently enjoyable when I hear mozzie's being blown apart in such a violent and LOUD manner as this trap delivers. Not only does it seem to work, but it is loud and bug parts fly all over the catch pan. I want mosquitoes to suffer (despite being an otherwise gentle person), and this violent bug-death is bringing peace to my sleep. DIE BLOODSUCKERS and DIE LOUDLY! Updated review, one month after purchasing. I have stopped using my other indoor mozzie killers and just move this one from room to room. It is worth its weight in gold. I will buy another.
