Updated to my review This is an update to my original review. I have talked to a lot of people since I received this headset. I work from home in a virtual call center, so this headset will be getting a good workout. I was very skeptical to order this headset. It was so inexpensive that I thought it cant be any good. But the reviews are good, so I thought I would take a chance on it. First, the good. The cord is long and fabric instead of a hard plastic. So it is flexible and easily reaches my phone and allows me to maneuver with it. I can hear people very clearly. As far as hearing people, it is one of the cleanest that I have had. People sound like they are right there with me. The headset is very comfortable to wear. One of the most comfortable that I have had. I plugged it into my phone and it worked right out of the box. The mic boom is large and adjust easily. ok, now for the not so good stuff I have talked to a lot of people using the headset since I 1st got it. People have told me that they have a hard time hearing me. I talked to my wife a few times to get her feedback. She says that I sound like I am in a bathroom. I looked again at the specs of the mic. It is a Omni-directional mic. That means that it does not just pick up your voice. A directional mic would just pick up the sound from 1 direction, like just from my voice. This mic picks up any and everything from any and every direction. So when I am talking to someone, they can hear anything that is going on around me. Even my typing on the computer is a huge issue. So the bottom line is that weather you will like this headset or not will depend on how you will be using it. For me, my office is not always quiet. There are sometimes noises going on in house that I cannot control. The mic picks up all of this. This is a considerable distraction for my customers. For that reason, I cannot recommend this headset. I returned mine in favor of a better one. So it is true that you get what you pay for.
