I took this for slightly low iron levels. I wanted something all natural and this seemed to fit the bill. I had a lot of bloodwork done before and after taking this supplement. One thing that was tested was for heavy metals. My levels were fine before taking this but after three weeks of taking this I had got more bloodwork and my cadmium levels were high! After doing research, animal organs can contain high cadmium. Now I’m doing a heavy metal detox..... the seller was friendly and reached out to me as I processed the refund. I told them the situation and encouraged them to do testing of heavy metals on their product. I hope they do!
