Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I'm not much of an Amazon reviewer, however I'm glad I waited a few months to make an exception to this product. As others have said, there is a learning curve to the whole operation, which isn't exactly a negative thing. I enjoy tinkering around and thought it was fun trying out new techniques and ingredients to make the perfect cup of coffee. For the first few months the product was great (albeit very messy as also stated in other reviews, the grounds do shoot everywhere which is bizarre and a grossly overlooked design issue). My 1 star review today you ask? I have the world's most expensive paperweight sitting on my kitchen counter right now. During lockdown me and my wife decided to treat ourselves with an insanely expensive purchase for us. Not a few months later there it sits, completely useless and I'm not really sure how to proceed given it's outside of Amazon's return date and Calphalon so far has expressed no desire to make things right. Oh I've called them, and emailed them, and here we are 5 days after initiating communications with them and zero has been done about it. I've had luck in the past with giving 1 star reviews so this is that effort to try and reopen the case. Really, really bummed that I likely won't be enjoying that satisfying cup of coffee every morning I worked so hard to perfect over the holidays.
