★☆☆☆☆
Trash, unbelievable, horrible main character. Zero star at best.
Sorry I have to even give this one star. The detective of this book makes jokes, eats pizza, gets blind drunk over and over while trying to catch a sadistic rapist that is killing the closest women around him. Would you like funny smart ass jokes from a detective that just discovered the body of his innocent friend? A seven year old girl? Everyone is brutally raped, cut up, eyes gouged out while they are still alive and murdered while he misses every possible clue. This detective is so unlikable that you just wish he would be the one that died. i saw one reviewer put this writer in the same class as McDonald's Travis McGee. How unfounded that link is. Shallow, trite, gruesome for no reason. The hero is a completely clueless, tiresome, drunk idiot. No depth. Unbelievable at every turn. Dumb Dumb Dumb
