As other reviews have noted, the bed runs small. I ordered a Large for our 30 pound terrier mix; the bed works for him since he usually sleeps curled up. The major problem with the bed is that the faux lambs wool comes off when our dog paws at it in his nesting behavior (circling around and around in the bed while pawing its surface). We've had the bed less than a week and already a significant portion of the faux lambs wool has ended up on the floor around the bed. Messy, and a sign that this bed won't last very long. Another problem with the bed is that the "egg crate orthopedic base" is rather thin, maybe no more than one-half inch. 12/1/18 updated review. I have downgraded my original 2 star review to 1 star. Washed the bed for the first (and only) time today. Large chunks of faux lambs wool fell off in the washing machine, and the so-called orthopedic base (which is not removable) is a heap of lumps. The bed is now useless. Find yourself a different bed; this one is very poorly made!
