These characters had no life to them. The only reason I even finished the book is to see if James found the missing journals. The story started out moderately interesting. However, once the pornographic love scenes began, the story lost all appeal. Not just one,but multiple pornographic scenes followed throughout remainder of book. All I did was skim over the last 50 pages of the book. It's pretty sad to read trashy historical romance. The plot had promise, but this author doesn't know how to weave the threads of a good plot together in order to keep the reader's interest. She was too busy throwing in explicit sex scenes so that her book would sell! The description of the ruins & temples, etc could have been MUCH better than written. I felt no emotion throughout the entire book.
