It worked fine for a few months, then it began having a very slow wifi issue. I searched for this issue with this model online and it seems this is a known issue with this model Acer Chromebook. Apparently the wifi antenna is in the screen and the connection wire runs along the hinge, and it breaks after a few months. So the wifi card still works, but it's getting a very weak signal. How weak? Sitting in the same location about 40 feet from my router my Macbook Air gets a ping in 27ms, a 70.51 Mbps download speed, and a 5.85 upload speed. switching immediately to the Acer 14 the ping speed is 51ms, download speed is 10.94, and upload speed is 5.87. The download speed is 7x slower! We have other devices in the house, none of them suffer slow wifi either. It's definitely the Acer. Unfortunately the problem didn't show up in time for me to return or get support for this refurbished Acer CB3-431. After research it does appear to be a common problem, so buyer beware.
