I have had two of these shipped to me. Both have had the same issue. There is a stress crack/pulled plastic mark at the clamp. This is a design defect as it is not strong enough at this point to handle the force to keep the top closed that the clamping system places on it. Both had this stress right out of the box. I have yet to use this growler. I have returned both. Hoping third time charm... I called Stanley Customer Service and was told that this is a common issue after some use but that if noticed new it should be returned. They also said that this has a lifetime warranty and would be repaired if it broke. Of course I would have to pay for shipping.. The second growler also had pulling of the ring that this clamp is attached to at the neck. See pictures. (Last 3 pictures are from 1st return) 2/28/17 Just received the third Growler. This has the same stress on the clamp. Color goes from green to White/light Green from the stress pulling the plastic apart. Guess design error is worse than I thought. Shame on Stanley for releasing this with such an obvious design issue. The transition at the right angle corner (damage area) should be tapered more and not such a right angle, this would spread the stress out over a large area. Added more pics.
