They do bill it as a clip-on table lamp, but I wanted a flexi lamp to attach to headboards of bunk bed set. These are durable and actually pretty good, but only if you are using on the side of a desk - as they mentioned. The goosenecks are not sturdy enough to hold the lamps firmly in place so they sag when they are clamped to a headboard and the neck is horizontal. Again, not so bad for normal use but as others have noted, the neck does not hold firm. My bad.
