I got this after our kids got the blue/white versions and this looked to be the “next step up” from that, and I’m very disappointed. The biggest complaint I have is the auto shutoff “feature”. The instructions say after 5 minutes it will shut itself off, but it tends to be anywhere between 2-3 minutes after setting it down. The worst part is the pen starts backing out the filament automatically and starts to cool off. It’s very common to set the pen down for a few minutes to adjust your work, and coming back to a cold pen is infuriating. This thing also dribbles all over the place even At it’s coolest temp setting. Instructions say that’s normal, but the blue/white versions don’t have that problem. I guess the “advanced” features of this pen are advanced frustrations compared to the cheaper version.
