I bought a Mendini flute for my daughter's birthday to play in a school band. We were very happy initially upon receiving it, since it was cheap and sounded decent. However, after 2 months, this flute started to have problem with F# key. The key pad would not cover the hole completely and kept leaking air. I tried to adjust the screw, but I was not able to due to the poor design and the location of the screws on the flute. You basically have to take the flute apart to adjust it. Since it was under one year warranty, I contacted the manufacture and sent back the flute to have it re-adjust. 3 weeks afterwards, it came back in a worse condition than before. Now the keys of D, E, F and F# do not work anymore. I was so furious that I complained to Amazon about the poor service I had received and demanded that Amazon had to take care of it. So here is where I lost my money buying this stupid flute from this company. $15 to ship to manufacturers + $19.99 postage for return shipment + $43.50 charged by Amazon for restocking fee. 15+19.99+43.5= $78.45 (not counting the time and gas money for dropping it off at the UPS twice. If you need to return it, please do it in 30 days or you will lose money like me. Below is the info of the manufacturer.
