Cheap product and terrible customer service
Cheap product and poor design and awful customer service. I tried for days to get them to save a customer but a company like this clearly feels they are too big to worry about one unhappy customer or a bad review but I’ll leave one anyway.
Do not waste your money. This product is so awful. We got it for my son who’s 3. Unless your child has an abnormally large head the headphone will not fit. They appeared to be adjustable but they are so cheaply made they slide from the already too large smallest setting to the ridiculously too big largest setting. So when you put them on an average or even slightly larger than average 4-5 year olds head expect them to fall off. What’s even worse than that is when they fall expect them to break. They are so cheap. My sons fell from about 3 inches and they broke. Any toy intended for preschoolers should be able to stand more than a 3 inch fall. Also when they snapped they did so in a point. Luckily I saw it but it could present a hazard for the kid. The company feels even though their poor design is is the reason they fall... falling constitutes accidental damage so they won’t replace or rectify in any way.
Now if you have a preschooler with a gargantuan cranium these may work but even if that resolves the sizing issue it doesn’t fix the crappy quality.
And though the ages say 3-6 I doubt about kid much over 3 would even find this entertaining in the slightest. It doesn’t play music like you would expect and it’s not really educational. It’s lots of talking and it just seems cheap.
My barely 3 year old mostly liked the idea of his own headphones and those didn’t last past a few uses.
I will say even though I’ve known vtech products to not always be the best quality, I thought maybe we just got a faulty pair on this toy so I contacted vtech directly and they told me if I wanted a replacement to go to their page and buy another pair! So either I got a faulty pair and they want me to buy another!!! Or it’s just cheap and they’re all like this and they want me to buy another. I expected more from vtech and I told them as much. I asked them three times to help replace the broken part but they refused.
After I came to write a review and then I read other reviews on this and the company and it seems maybe I had been wrong and this sort of quality and customer care is the rule and not the exception.
Seems cheap and faulty products is the norm and add to that terrible customer care and here we are. But lesson learned. I’ve yet to have issues with leapfrog products so I’ll be sticking with those. These are junk. Don’t waste your money or time.
