After TONS of purchases on Amazon, this is my VERY FIRST REVIEW...... I guess "technically" the description did not say "Egyptian cotton", it said "Egyptian Striped".....ok....you got me! Sheets are VERY THIN and by no means soft! I don't splurge on many luxuries in life, but since a person spends a large portion of their life sleeping, I feel bedding is very important. I normally use 800 thread count (true Egyptian cotton) sheets from Kohls.....extremely SOFT and durable! However, there were none on sale at kohls, so I ordered these because it was an unbelievable price,,,,,,,,,,NOW I KNOW WHY! Yes, I could send them back....but for $30 it's too much hassle and I figured my time typing this review would be better spent.
