I’ve been a huge fan of Brother machines for more than 20 years, and was really excited to get this new machine with plenty of stitches and a self threading needle. What a letdown. The self threading needle isn’t. It’s a difficult to see and use contraption that actually works less than ten percent of the time. It’s a lot faster and less frustrating to use a magnifying glass. Which I was already doing, so what was the point? The two needle position options prevent accurate quarter inch seams for quilting or half inch seams for general sewing. If you try to sew a quarter inch seam, the designated presser foot chews the top layer or fabric. You have to stop the machine, raise the presser foot, move the fabric back into position, lower the foot, sew, then stop and repeat every two to three inches. The bobbin case constantly slips out of position A broken piece of plastic fell out of the interior. I’ll be taking this piece of junk into the local dealership for servicing, but honestly I’m over it. I got soaked the better part of two hundred bucks for a complete piece of garbage
