Update on review: Sadly, I just had my $500 bike stolen this past weekend (I live in San Francisco). My bike and the lock is gone! The purpose of a bike lock is to prevent theft. And this purpose has NOT been fulfilled after 3 months of using this lock. I very much regret buying this lock to replace my thick and heavy Kryptonite New York Chain With Evolution Disc Lock. When I buy a new bike, I will be using my old Kryptonite New York Chain With Evolution Disc Lock again - although this chain/lock is very heavy - it actually prevents bike theft!! Previously: Good lock that's easy to use, and fits around bike racks, as well as parking meters :) . I've been using it for several months & my bike hasn't been stolen yet in San Francisco. My only complaints is, the hinges offer zero resistance, so the lock falls out quickly when you open the lock. The end of the lock hit the pavement many times, because I couldn't catch it fast enough. It would have been perfect if there is a little bit of traction in the hinges, so that the lock doesn't fall out (on the side that you're not holding) quickly.
