Keep in mind that a Photostick is nothing more than a plain old USB flash drive with some very special software, so you are really paying for the software. My purchase was a gift. The recipient had two Windows 10 laptops, an iPhone, and an iPad, plus an old HP laptop with Windows 8. He wanted to save pictures from all these devices. Everything went fairly well on the first Windows laptop, although there is no "Go" command. Ditto for the iPhone and the iPad. A minor problem was that despite the correct settings, there were hundreds of duplicates. No big deal. We were prepared to organize the photos later, after they were all on one drive. Then, upon trying the second Windows laptop, we received a popup saying that the drive would have to be formatted before use. Verified that the problem was not with the computer by going back to the first laptop where all had worked and received the same "need to format" message. Not good, as we knew the special software and all backed-up photos would be lost. Could not return the drive with the photos still on it as some were screen shots of sensitive info, i.e., drivers license, social security card, Covid vaccination, etc., so we had to perform the format and lose everything. Thankfully, Amazon allowed a refund and processed it promptly. Bravo, Amazon, for a job well done. Shame on Photostick. This was a birthday gift for an 85 year old friend. He was so enthusiastic about what it promised and so disappointed in what it turned out to be, and now I owe him a gift.
