Just received this today, got it working immediately, and the device itself is good to go! The APP, however, is horrible. You download it. Immediately it asks you to create an account. I don't want another account with some other company now having my email address. But, after spending the money on this - I HAVE NO CHOICE. So I signed up, confirmed my email, and then I thought I was done. I wasn't. Starts with the verification email and then with the "Hello, welcome to this new spam you signed up for..." emails. I unsubscribed immediately. Next. I go to use the app. It asks me for my name, height, and date of birth. I'm thinking YAY - I can finally try my device! Nope. Now it is commanding me to share my location or I can't take a reading. So I enable location. It also asks whether I want to share my location ALL THE TIME, or just when using the APP. So they want to use people who PAY the money for this device to collect MORE data and make MORE money. Great. Why not just pay us to use it? Lastly, it prevents you from taking a screenshot on your own device. I'd pay almost double for a device like this that just works with NO HASSLES or spying/data collection. Last gripe about the APP. You can only enter ONE person in it. It won't let me enter myself and my wife. Very stupid. But - behold - there's a PREMIUM version of the APP you can pay even more for, and I'm betting that one includes the ability to save more than one person...say your OTHER family members maybe. It is $9.99/month or $99 a year for the upgraded app. Just what everyone needs, another monthly bill bleeding us dry. Overall, I feel like this is a customer-hostile/predatory company. The moment a similar device hits the market I will replace this one. I'm keeping it solely due to it's fast and nice functionality. I do not appreciate companies which behave like this toward customers.
