This grill is not as advertised on TV. It cannot go into the dishwasher, nor can it be submerged in water in the sink. The grill is only 1000 watts which would account for the uneven cooking temperatures. That's manageable if you don't mind moving your food around a lot. My biggest gripe was cleaning it--the surface is definitely not non-stick. I would not recommend this grill. There are better options out there.
