Poor execution. I think they might have rushed this book. I ordered it MONTHS in advance and was hoping for a bit more. The quotes and the stories are cute. But this book was a missed opportunity, for sure. The concept of the make ahead meals was a fun idea for a novice cook. But, the recipes were absolutely nothing to do with inspiration from the show. I was hoping for more recipes from St Olaf, including ANY of the many many family dishes that were mentioned in the show. Sofia’s dishes from Sicily, which she mentions several times an episode. Perhaps her sisters fried chicken recipe? Some southern peach cobbler from blanch would have been appropriate turned into a cheesecake. This looks like someone put together all the basic recipes they had sitting around and then made the cookbook work for the concept. Overall disappointed and sad for anyone who is a fan of the show who knows how to cook. Whoever came up with the recipes and put this book together, should be disappointed and ashamed of their work.
