Excellent writing, unrelatable privilege
While author embodies an easy writing style and shared so much about her personal tragedies and grief in an effortless way, I simply could not relate to her overwhelming privilege and unhappiness in the midst of such privilege. Also, the stating that her new in-laws were thrilled with their son converting to Judaism? Not believable as what parent is moved by the throwing away of their child's Jesus-saved soul to become the exact opposite out of "love" for his new partner? Nope. Easy and at times enjoyable to read, over all too filled with an incredibly wealthy lifestyle (boarding school, NY connections, nannies, the Hamptons) to have much sympathy for this authors memoir keeping me from diving any deeper into her writing contributions.
