Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I read many reviews of these erasers before purchasing. My wife is a long time elementary school teacher and was upset that she could not find quality cap erasers. I did read the few one star reviews but felt that those must be flukes because there were so many five star reviews...so I bought the pack. They looked good when we opened the box and she was thrilled that the stem looked thicker than the ones we just got at Office Max. So we thought it terrific. Then about an hour later, with just a few strokes of light erasing and the entire eraser was split open from the stem all the way up into the solid top part. We tried another one and the same thing happened. I am not sure it would even. Be worth the time to go through the process of returning them. So here I am making, sadly, my first one-star review. I doubt it will impact future purchasers of this product...but I can only stress that if this is also just a fluke package that slipped by quality control then my luck just hit bottom. Papermate used to be quality. Sorry for the low review but these erasers we got are useless.
