Generic trash action movie with no connection at all to the actual book it's "inspired" by.
Tom Clancy wrote a fantastic story about targeted violence by one man to avenge his dead lover. This movie is not that story. Instead, all it did was take the names and title and make something which had absolutely nothing in common with the source material. Once again, Hollywood makes an unrealistic movie based on a top selling book in the hopes people will just shove money in their faces without caring about content. There's a reason this didn't go to the big screen and more importantly, why it wasn't made until long after Clancy had died. When Hollywood continually made movies with little in common with the books aside from the titles, Clancy lambasted them and refused to let them do any more of his stories because he hated how the movies changed every important detail. Now that he's dead, his heirs have little concern with how much he loathed Hollywood. Do yourself a favor, just read the book. This movie has nothing to do with the book they supposedly based it on. Want to take a great story and ruin it? Send two black soldiers on a top secret mission to Russia, where they stand out like sore thumbs. That's the kind of stupidity the writers expect you to overlook in their blatant attempt to curry favor among the black community.
