PARENTS BE WARNED!!!! I thought this was a "Learn to Read" style chapter book. It's NOT! The content is extremely disturbing in a world where kids are opening fire on schools and such. Let me share a few content items to give you an idea of what you are getting before you buy this book: Phrases like 'He killed his prey with a chuckle, indiscrimantly firing into a group of players, not caring whom he hit" and "he killed pigs just for fun.." "a moaning that sounded like hatred for all living things" and more and more of the same kind of stuff. It's about a boy who is 12 years old, not very big but is powerful in the game so he gets back at the world by killing everyone in the game that he can. I believe later that changes but the content is so disturbing regardless of the outcome. It's not a novel that is really part of the true electronic game, but written as someone who plays the game and the game becomes real to them. I wanted to return the book to Amazon. To their credit they said, "Keep it and we'll refund you anyway." Of all the items I've ever ordered online, this is the only one that I don't want even if it's free. I refuse to let any other child read it on my account so I won't donate it. Looks like the landfill is going to be one book richer.
