The box itself was fine when I received it. After opening it, there was some adhesive like spots on the top of the machine. Once it was completely out of the box, I could see there were scratch marks on the plate and more adhesive spots on the blade. Definitely NOT a brand new product. Trusted them since it was the company the product line belongs to, but it's disappointing they would do this. They currently have 4 stars, meaning that you most likely will receive a new product, but you should know that they will also do stuff like this to few customers. Personally, it sucks more since it was supposed to be a gift.
