So, it arrived yesterday and it does turn out a good amount of heat, which is awesome! I love the remote and all of the various speeds, temperatures, etc. One BIG problem, though. After having it plugged in for one night, it melted the extension cord and now I'm barely able to remove it from the socket. Eek. Glad we didn't let it run while we were out for fear of a fire in our apartment. Hopefully this is just a defect with our specific tower.
