Is susceptible to the Infineon security flaw that impacts TPMs.
This is a functioning TPM 2.0 module for Asus 14 pin motherboards.
I am giving it one star intentionally as the product is vulnerable to the Infineon Security issue as detailed here: https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/product/promopages/tpm-update/
I contacted Asus customer support regarding this issue and asked if they intended to issue a firmware update. Customer support stated that they did not intend to fix the problem and impacted customers should rely on the workaround provided by Microsoft for Windows. This means that for Linux customers there is no solution and the workaround for Windows is not a permanent fix.
Quote from Asus customer service:
"Thank you for contacting ASUS Product Support, this is Medard M. I understand that you know if there's a firmware update for the TPM of the motherboard. I apologize if you have to go through this kind of issue with your unit and I'm here to further assist you on your concern.
At this time, I do apologize but there's no TPM firmware update and there's only a Microsoft turnaround."
