I purchased this to split my Corsair K70 Keyboard and Logitech G502 mouse between my desktop and Macbook. It works correctly and is able to control both devices; however, if I turn on the backlight on my keyboard the device starts emitting a high pitched whining sound. This problem seems to affect this product consistently as can be seen in other reviews. I personally find it too annoying to use and don't want to be forced to turn off my backlight to avoid hearing this incredibly annoying sound. I decided to try out the IOGEAR 2 Computer 4-Port USB 2.0 Peripheral Sharing Switch, GUS402 and it has been working fine with no noticeable sound issues. It also comes with a separate remote switch making it easier to switch between devices. I would definitely recommend it over this device.
