Prior to the news informing people that KN95 masks are a good way to protect against Omicron if you have to be around people, these masks were $16.99 (right before Christmas). After the news (not even January yet) this company along with many others on Amazon have almost tripled the price. I bought these masks to give to the homeless who are part of society too. If you've noticed most homeless people have on a severely overused paper thin mask which guess what? It's not going to protect the person wearing or the the person standing next to them. Now I cant afford to purchase decent protection for those who may not be able to purchase anything at all. Theres working people who can't afford this price either. This isn't inflation or lack of supply as the difference between K and N95 is where they are made and by what standard. They are very similar products with only a slight difference in testing for fit. Another example of people unethically profiting when people are clearly buying these products in the hope of protecting themselves and others around them. Making this type of mask unattainable because of price gouging is sad. The pandemic is far from over, and when the price goes back down on this type of mask, this company will not have my business.
