Sounds good but... update 1/9/20, update 3/30/20
When set up right the soundbar and sub sound great. My TV does not have a hdmi out so I'm only using the optical out from the TV to the soundbar. However, two big issues I have are the power save function that powers off the soundbar after about 10 to 15 minutes. if i pause the source it is really annoying to have to get up and manually power it back on. That brings up the second issue, the remote. It only works if you are within 3 feet of the soundbar. Major pain. New batteries don't help. I would not buy again due to these two issues. The power save option could be fixed in a firmware update I suppose but the remote is just lame. UPDATE: 1/9/20- So, I couldn't stand it so I bought a new TV that has the HMDI ARC out. Now the soundbar works perfectly with all sources. The volume is controlled by what ever source remote you are using. Volume is perfect for ball games or music videos. I'm using it in my garage man cave and love it. The optical out works but creates problems I described above. I've not tried the bluetooth connection. Bottom line, if you have a TV with the hdmi ARC option this soundbar is a good bang for your bucks! UPDATE: 3/30/20- Well the HDMI ARC connection has now stopped working. Won't connect at all that way. I decided to try bluetooth. Every time I turn the TV on I have to do three things. 1- turn the soundbar on, it won't automatically turn on like it did with the HDMI connection. 2- reconnect it to my TV, it won't automatically connect. 3- turn the volume up on the sound bar all the way so I can control the volume from the TV remote. Also, don't pause the TV for more that 5 or 10 minutes or you'll have to do it all over again. I ordered a new soundbar system. I can't recommend this one.
