This seat looks very good in my bathroom. it is very easy to clean and keep clean around the hinges. I used to be embarrassed if it was between cleaning days, and someone had splattered poop on the underside, and if a male friend came over and lifted the seat to use the bathroom, there would be a poo splatter...yuck!!!...now if I miss a day of cleaning, the poo splatters do not show up on the black like they do on a white toilet seat...UPDATE ....After just about a year of use, the paint on the seat is coming off completely. I kept seeing a little bit of black on my cleaning cloth, and then today when I was cleaning practically ALL of the paint came off. I was only using a damp cloth rag. This is ridiculous. Do not buy this toilet seat unless you like sitting on plain wood. Now I have to buy another toilet seat! This product should have lasted for years, I am very unhappy!!
