After purchasing my Thule bike rack I didn't like the way that it wobbled using the single 40mm bolt that came with it to attach to my hitch. In addition it provided no security and I was worried that someone would simply unscrew the bolt and take the rack (and maybe bikes too!). After reading the reviews I purchased a M12 1.75 80 mm bolt, two M12 washers, one M12 lock washer (from Home Depot) and one Wheel nut lock (from Auto Zone) and now have a perfectly solid connection to the hitch with no wobble and vibration that is as safe and secure that is humanly possible. I now think that someone would have to steal the entire truck to get the rack! Thanks Amazon for posting these reviews as that is what made me do it. By the way, everything that I bought was less than $20 in total cost. Wow!!!
