My husband bought this for me last week at a local store. I was very excited to receive it. Tomorrow I’m taking it back. I expected good things from Cuisinart, but this isn’t one of them. It did charge fast and it’s very powerful. Here are my issues: * It only has one speed, FULL TILT BEARINGS TO THE WALL. *That’s ok if you’re looking for that power to blend or chop things, but it was a DISASTER in using the whisk. *The whisk is quite large and its high, tapered shape sends everything you’re trying to whisk right straight out of the container. I attempted to use it in a large glass measuring cup, a batter bowl, a mixing bowl, and the mixing cup thing that it came with and ended up wasting a total of 14 eggs and an hour of my life cleaning them up off the countertop, cupboard doors, stove, and floor. I was so mad I would have happily javelined someone from Cuisinart with it if they’d shown up at my door. *I understand why the locking mechanism is necessary but this one is just too aggressive. Half the time when I pushed & held the unlock button it didn’t unlock at all and the motor wouldn’t engage. I had to let go and do it again. Once the motor was running if you didn’t keep a constant death grip on the power button it would stop and lock itself. Keeping the thing going was a real fight. This product was a good idea with poor execution. Kitchenaid did it better. (I know because I have one, but the battery charger was lost in a move and I can’t get a replacement.) I truly expected better from Cuisinart.
