Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I'm not very big on taking time to write reviews but this seemed important. I buy a LOT of items through Amazon, thus relying on what others have to say. I bought my Miele S2120 in March of 2011. I bought it through Amazon because of price and all of the great reviews. I had terrible luck....obviously, from the reviews, others have had good luck. Mine died in the Fall of 2012. I received absolutely no help from the company. I have three dogs...one has fine hair... so I cleaned the internal filters just about every other time I used it. I used it about three times a week. The motor started to cut out (presumably from over heating) about two months before it died. Finally it just wouldn't restart. I took it into the local Miele dealer and he said he saw some dirt on the motor and would have to tell Miele. Also...he said that if they warranty the motor it's not a bad idea to replace the control board....thus admitting that the electronics are subject to damage from the motor's heat. A few days later he said they wouldn't warranty. The dirt on the motor indicated my negligence!!! Like I stated I cleaned the filters regularly....I mean this is a VACUUM cleaner. Also.....you have to buy their bags and filters. It's kind of like HP selling you a reasonably priced printer but then sticking it to you for the cartridges. Meile's "warranty" help kind of sounds as if the Speedo company was to say "gee.....your swimming suit fell apart because it got wet"!!! Will NEVER buy another Miele product.
