Consider if you really need a "Wireless" backup camera before ordering this product.
The Peek 4.3 Wireless Back-up Camera should only be considered by those that either can not or choose not to want to take the time to install wiring and are looking for a simple quick back-camera solution without regard for quality in the equipment itself or the camera image displayed. When I attempted to install this unit in my Jeep Wranger (2013) I quickly discovered that the wireless module that the camera cable plugs into had very inexpensive wire connectors with thin pins that became bent, rendering the whole kit inoperable until I took precision tools and straightened out the bent pins. Had I not had a background in Electronic repair I would have had the displeasure of contacting the seller for a replacement or refund. The display unit comes in a very cheap plastic casing that feels more like a toy than a camera display module. After correcting the bent pins and getting the unit fired up i discovered even after playing with the manufactures "Adjustable Display Settings" the picture was less than anticipated. With many attempts at adjusting both the wireless module antenna along with moving the placement of the wireless module it became obvious that it did not really matter. The picture remained less than acceptable for my expectations of a $100 plus back-up camera. Bottom line, I would not recommend this camera even at its price point. Spend the money and time and get something that offers near factory installed units. This camera is not even close. It will make a good back-up camera for my grand daughters battery powered Jeep.
