Definitely brighter and better than OEM light bulbs. For halogens, these are closer to white. Only HIDs and LEDs can reach the color temps of 6000K and up. However this is about 5000K and looks white to me. See my photos for the comparison between the new Sylvania 9006 SilverStar Ultra in the headlights, versus OEM factory bulbs in the fog lights. It's a huge difference. I would totally recommend this. Update 3/24/16: After about a month installing these on the headlights, I couldn't resist but to change my fog lights as well to have the same color temperature match. The difference in color bothered me that much. After installing the same lights onto my fog lights, I am 100% happy with the results! View more before/after pictures I've posted. These sure beat the cheaper ones you buy at any auto store. I'm glad I read the reviews before my purchase, because it always says a lot about the quality of the product as well as the seller. UPDATE 9/16/17: I'm upset that the second pair I purchased for my Fog Lights blew out again. Lasted me only 9 months. Not sure if it's a fuse, but I thought after the 2nd time throwing another $35 into this, same thing will happen. I just replaced and installed a new pair of LED 9006 Fog Lights by 'Alla Lighting'- they fit my car and look 10 times bright and better than Sylvania's 9006 Silver Star Ultra Halogen Lights!!! They actually reach the color temperature of 6000K. Sorry Sylvania but you've lost (2) stars from me due to the poor quality, and life span of product. UPDATE 3/6/2018: And I thought a third times’ a charm.... NOPE! THIS IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY! Lost another star for that too. Don’t buy this product unless you want to chuck money out the window every 6 or less months.
