So for $30 I was expecting this to be high quality, but the first thing I noticed upon opening it was how cheap feeling the plastic was. The next thing I noticed were the dark scratches over the front by the screw hole. Pretty annoying for the price. Looked like I was used and maybe returned and just slapped into a new clam shell package. Anyway I installed and and the green light turned on so I figured it was good. The next thing I did was plan to charge my tablet. Plugged in a USB cord and then plugged it into my tablet. Immediately the "new" outlet started to make an odd electrical buzzing sound. I unplugged the USB cord and tried the other plug in. Same results. Got another USB cord. Same results. Tried to charge my phone. Same results. Tried yet another cord with my phone. Same results. Next step, uninstall the outlet, put it back into the package and send it back to Amazon as a defective product. No possible chance I would leave this thing unattended for one second making sounds like it did just in case it bursts into an electrical fire. What really seems annoying after all this is that I think it actually was used and somebody else had the same product with the same issues and that is why there were scratches over the front. Then it was sent back and manufacture just repacked it again to burn somebody elses house down!
