I am another one that did not buy this from amazon, but from Best Buy. We bought this TV about 2 months ago, and for the price we paid for this TV, we are not very happy with it. I should have returned the item instead of hoping/wishing it would resolve itself. Here are my problems: 1) At least twice a week we turn on the TV to sound and no picture. 2) At least once a week the Netflix app doesn't work and signs us out to where we have to resign in, turn the TV off and start over 3) Several times a week I turn the tv on to no sound So all in all, on the above issues, we have to unplug the TV to reset it at least twice a week. 4) Customer service is not great and here is my story on that. When I called Customer service for a problem after we first got it, I spoke with a rep that could not even speak clear English. I could not understand what she was telling me to do. After about 45 minutes I begged her to let me speak to someone who could speak English and she ignored me and kept telling me to do the same thing we had been doing for the past 45 minutes. You would think if unplugging and resetting the TV didn't work the first time, then it does NOT need to be done another 10 times. So I finally hung up and had to resort to email on Facebook to get the problem resolved. This poor customer service agent was reading a script and had no idea what she was telling me. I would not spend the money on this Smart TV.....maybe it is just smarter than me, but if I could go back and get another one, I would. UPDATE 10/10/15 I should have written this sooner, but Sony made good on their warranty. A Replacement TV was ordered and will be here Tuesday. Although, it was a pain the neck to talk to customer service because they don't understand English very well and can't speak English very well, I found when I emailed them through Facebook, I usually got things resolved fairly quickly.
